Has anyone else seen the “Half Their Size” issue of People? I admit I’m a sucker for these types of stories—people slimming down from weights of 240, 256 or 340 pounds. But, in reading some of their tales, I just kept saying, “Oh, come on!”
Thinking about making a move—literally—this year? Maybe returning to city life after a suburban hiatus? Women’s Health recently ranked the best and worst cities for women. It “crunched nearly 9,000 pieces of data to rank 100 of America’s largest cities in dozens of categories covering Health, Fitness, and Quality of Life.” The data came from sources like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Department of Labor and market researchers Nielsen-Claritas and Simmons-Experian.
Here are the top 10 cities for women overall:
The worst? Bakersfield, CA.
